IDK about you all, but making decisions is hard. Earlier this week the BFFs wrote about how decision fatigue impacts each of us, and I gave a tip on using a randomizer (I may have teased this exact post!).
So, here’s an idea that I sincerely hope you “steal”: On must-make-a-decision days where you just can’t, make it fun by bringing in the wheel.
I see this approach used often when brands or content creators pick giveaway winners on social media, but a randomized wheel can be used for anything that requires a decision.
Want to go out for dinner?
Add all the restaurants you’re deciding between to the wheel!Need to do things around the house?
Add all the chores and give it a spin!Have a random list of things that just need to get done?
Wheel it up.
Ready to start? I personally prefer this open-source randomizer, Wheel of Names — I may or may not use wheels regularly in my fantasy Discord and this has a bot — but if you do want to make that decision for yourself, there are other wheels you can find with a quick search!
As a bonus, I’m giving you 40 self-care ideas to use when you no longer want to think and just need to do something good for yourself. Just copy/paste from this list and add to the wheel to your heart’s content.
Did I pick some of my favorite self-care ideas to share with you? Sure did. Did I also read through about 18 other lists to do so? Also, yes. I made this list so you don’t have to! (But feel free to customize, add, and delete as fits your preferences, lifestyle, and needs.)

Light a candle, incense, or turn on a diffuser
